LAWD. Ok, first off I graduated...finally. What a long but very short 4 years. I can't believe it's over but I am very happy that it is. Before graduating I was offered a very small position at the place where I had been interning for a semester. It's really nothing but the fact that I can now say I interned there AND worked there is just amazing. Grad school will start in September and I'll be back to pursuing a degree... a Master's Degree in Counseling specialization Clinical Mental Health.
All of this is besides the point of this post. What I planned on posting about is the sovereignty of God. Sovereign means (n): a supreme ruler. (a): utmost, or indisputable.
Lately mr. satan has been yelling in my ear.. convincing me that there is something much better than the love, care, mercy and presence of God. It's so crazy because for like a millisecond I was believing it. Like "yea... this is better". No, no, no. A song came on while I was driving called This Is Amazing Grace by Phil Wickham. Love this song. What the artist sings about is everything that God does. "Who shakes the whole earth, with holy thunder? Who leaves us breathless, in awe and wonder? The King of glory, the King above all kings". Now.. it's not like I've never heard the song but when it came on and I just sang along to the words... a stillness... a sense of peace came over me and right then and there I was reminded.... No, there is absolutely NOTHING better... nothing or no one greater than the Sovereign Lord. Nothing.
This is why it's important to seek God continuously. I don't like to talk too much about satan because he doesn't deserve recognition but he is literally doing his job everyday, 24/7 and we have to be doing ours too. I can't believe how easy it was to get me knocked off my square but thank God for sovereignty.
P.S. Graduation day was....eventful but the following day was better. Here's a sneak peek (if you will) of me cutting up.
